The MRCS (ENT) exam will be discontinued by 2026 to align assessments across surgical specialties. Candidates have five chances to take the exam, starting October 2024. Those entering ENT Higher Surgical Training after 2026 must pass MRCS Part B to exit Core Surgical Training.
